  I have been selling on Etsy for a couple of years now. This watch is one of my favorite offerings of ALL time. It is one watch that can easily summarize the “Art Deco time period without a spoken word? This is so Art Deco in its look.
  
  
  1929. The great depression. The USA was in a “Happy” place at that time. This is a bit of a whimsical design. Elgin “Thrift 674” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium nickel with black enamel bezel, circa 1928. This striking Elgin wristwatch has a cushion-shaped case with Art Deco designs in black enamel.
  
  This example is in crisp, extraordinary condition with all of its frosted chromium finish intact. Black enamel is superb and complete. The case back is excellent, with a personalization. . It is very rare to find a nickel chromium case back undamaged through the years of wear and perspiration and it being 90 years young. This is one of the better case conditions I have seen with this case material. This is a real treat to have in this condition. Many times the cases are destroyed by hard wear and perspiration.
  
  
  The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide.
  
  
  The original dial is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 movement that has been recently serviced.
  
  
  The band complements the black enamel on the bezel beautifully
  
  
  Don’t wait too long on this one. One just sold on the big auction site for over $380 and the case back was badly pitted. This was looks pristine.
  
  
  This is the original, I elected to leave it untouched, part of the decisions is that this watch is as close to original condition as one could get.
