  I have a stunning Gruen “Cut Corner” Art Deco beauty. Look at the carved relief with black enamel accents. This was ripped from the “Art Deco” period. it is actually a hard to find model in excellent condition.
  
  Can you say; Wedding Gift, I Love You Gift, Anniversary Gift, gosh, there re so many occasions that Thomas would be perfect. Let’s think outside the box, about 40% of my sales go to women as self purchases, what a cool way to express oneself. I applaud that.
  
  
  
  But first, I have a shameless plug! My shop was recently selected to supply vintage American watches for a premier movie starring some major actors and a world famous director. They were looking for authentic watches that would represent the time period from 1915-1926. It is a true story of events that took place during the 1920’s. This watch would of been perfect for the movie.
  
  
  Word to the wise for “Vintage Watch Shoppers” Vintage watches are much smaller than todays modern watches. Many of my listings are from period that the wrist watch was 10-20 years young. please keep that in mind. Their distinctive, have character and hold stories that will never be told.
  
  
  I have been an avid vintage watch collector for years. My soft spot is 1900-1940 American watches.

  The ones that I do not wear very much get sold for other watches that may be hard to find. All my watches for sale are in above average condition, some are pristine. I pride myself in offering the best quality and reasonable prices. Remember, "Price is what you pay, value is what you get".
  
  
  This is an unusual case as it has crisp corners and delicate black enamel accents
  
  
  This is what I have completed on the treasure:
  
  
  1) Complete tear down service
  
  
  2) NOS crystal
  
  
  3) New band (Have to go upscale for such an elegant Art Deco treasure)
  
  
  4) The watch case was cleaned, hand polished
  
  
  5) Dial and hands were professionally refinished to the original status ( I had the luminous material replaced with safe luminous material)
  
  
  In other words, no part of the watch was left untouched. I try and bring back the dead to live another long life.
  
  
  When one thinks of “Art Deco” one cannot ignore Gruen as a watch company. This many Art Deco styles that Gruen introduced in the mid 1920’s have instantly become a cult classic.   A little Gruen History:
  
  
  In years from the 1920s through the 1940s, the Gruen Watch Company of USA & Switzerland was one of the leaders in wristwatch design and quality, even working together with Rolex.
  
  
  I have taken care to present to you a hard-to-find Art Deco watch that is a rare survivor considering the age of the watch.
  
  
  The case design is a real treasure, it is called a cut corner, or sometimes a square, I like cut corner as it sounds more elegant. The case is the crown jewel. The watch has no wear though to the naked eye. This is extraordinary as watches from the era commonly have brassing, heavy wear through the gold-filled case. This is what I pride myself on. I turn down watch projects that heavy case wear. If you are spending $500 to $1000 on a vintage watch, I want you to own a true treasure.
