  This treasure was brought back to like from the scrap heap. If you have followed me at all you will know that my soft spot is Art Deco. This watch is the epitome of that genre.
  
  
  My soft spot for this treasure is its simplicity in design. Art Deco was a movement in all aspects of Americana during the 1920s/1930s. it was a Iifestyle. this watch presents itself with no excuses. The dial is so utilitarian, yet reflective of a specific time ( another pun intended) in our nations creative history.
  
  
  My apologies for not introducing you to this gorgeous timepiece! Meet my Waltham Art Deco 15 jewel watch. As you will notice this watch was born in 1925, it was gifted a 15 jewel movement to ensure strong reliability and status. You see, 15 jewels in the 1920’s was considered rare to the amount of 7 jeweled movements that were available.
  
  After reviewing the close-up pictures, one cannot help by being impressed. The bezel (the ring around the crystal/ glass) has a beautiful high polished finish that was so prevalent in the 1920’s. carefully review the top of the lugs, a delicate design that brings the watch together. I am of the thought that sometimes less is more. It gives the watch the quiet elegance that is missing in today watches. This watch presents itself with grace and elegance. The beautifully refinished two tone dial is the crown jewel, it is bold, yet quiet, it is understated military, yet very civilian
  
  
  The movement was part of Waltham 3/0 sized movements, they are much harder to source today
  
  
  You have a rare opportunity to own a hard-to-find Art Deco survivor. If this watch could share some stories, I am sure it would occupy weeks of marvelous memories.
